Easter weekend

Someone has been watching too much Angelina Ballerina. Or she has been gazing at pictures of the statue of liberty. hard to say.The vest after being attacked by sister's love. It looked pretty good before the love and I feel like maybe I've graduated as a knitter from "a timid knitter who loves to knit scarves and baby hats" to "an adventurous knitter who can tackle a pattern and only curse a little"

We had some friends over for Easter dinner on Saturday night. This is pretty much why they came. yum.
The kids' table. Notice that they are eating organic mac 'n' cheese and dinner rolls.
The beautiful tulips my friend brought me. They make me ridiculously happy.

Easter morning bread pudding.
My pink-cheeked babes after the car nap on the way to Grandma and Papaw's house.

The sweater love attack. But check out that all that crinkly-nosed love. awh.
The girls got pink fishing poles in their Easter baskets. Here they are practicing casting down the stairs. Watch out stocked ponds of the Palouse!
.
I don't know if it was all the fun projects leading up to the day or having our friends over for Easter dinner early or the beautiful morning, but I really enjoyed Easter this year. Maybe more than ever.
My favorite Easter moment was the four of us in the balcony at church, huddled around a hymnal with Elias thinking the whole church was singing for him and Sydney hugging all of us and exclaiming, "Mom, they said Easter!" (She thought it was our own private invention that gave us an excuse to make cheesecake.) It was one of those sweet family moments that you just want to crawl inside and snuggle up with for a while.
I hope your Easter was just as special!

the sweater vest turned out so awesome, tiffany! elias looks adorable in it, and his big sister is the sweetest in her easter dress and flower headband.

Oh, I love those darling children of yours. Sydney is growing up SO fast. We miss her! Hope to see you soon. Let me know if you get to the west side in the next few months. We're always up for another walk around Greenlake.
