home again home again

There is nothing quite like relaxing at my parents' house in the summer. Their yard is so beautiful, the house so clean, the chairs by the slider so cozy for reading and the fountain so fun to listen to peacefully or fill squirt guns in...

The kids and I made my used-to-be annual summer trip home and I think now that everyone can walk, it's back on the annual to-do list. We played squirt guns, blasted foam rockets, went to the Jelly Belly factory, visited the train museum and rode the train home, bbq'd most nights and fell into such a happy summertime rhythm there. It is such fun to see my parents love on my kiddos and to see my kids squirm and giggle in the light of that love. It's also fun to have my mom do our laundry and my dad bbq dinner most nights. What a great trip we had! What a fun last hurrah of summertime fun!

Oh my goodness, you were in my neck of the woods!! We are very near Fairytale Town. Maybe next year if you come again, we can squeeze in a little IN REAL LIFE visit...although your parents' yard seems a very difficult place to want to leave. You got some gorgeous shots! :)
