Phew!

Sydney loves to go in to my closet, find my hat and put it on all by herself. Yes, that is nail polish she's chewing on.
Trying to figure out how to get back into the bathroom cupboard after Mommy secured it with a rubber band.
Playing with Juli. (She adores our friends Matt & Juli and they are so very sweet to her.)
Watching football with Matt. It looks like Nick has a balloon for a head, but I assure you his head is normal.
An after lunch story with Grace and Auntie Sarah. I love this picture!

So, my last little posts about Sydney were about me being a little freaked out about this new phase we're in. Good news: she's just fine now. She's happily playing with her new toys and only sometimes exploring the kitchen cupboards--she loves mixing bowls this week. She's started making a "vroom" type of sound when pushing tractor girl around, which is so cute. And, she's become attached to Mr. Duck (such a creative name, I know) that she sleeps with and wants to bring him out to play with after nap time or nighttime. The poor guy kind of gets dragged around a lot. She is also laughing a lot, which is so sweet, especially if you chase her around the coffee table. And, my favorite, she is sleeping through the night again. 3 nights in a row, plus one kind of tough night due to her new cold and last night she cried a little a few times, but worked it out by herself (aka found her binkie). We haven't reached some terrible phase after all, phew. I think she was just kind of freaking out that week she was sick and newly home from a week at Grandma and Grandpa Jim's house, where mommy didn't tell her "no".

So, we're back to loving our little life around here. Seriously, it's 9:45 and I'm in my pjs sipping coffee after playing with Sydney. Not going to work is awesome!!!
